Leo Baxter, who founded Tarsus Technologies ─ the predecessor of the MB Technologies group ─ at the age of 25, is an energetic and highly effective entrepreneur with a deep understanding of the information technology market.
His entrepreneurial skills are balanced by a sound management style and a philosophy that has enabled him to recruit and retain the best people in the business, allowing them the freedom to operate independently within the group.
With effective experience gained in building the group, together with his background in international software markets, Baxter has used this knowledge to specify and co-ordinate the local development of unique software systems that have been implemented throughout the group and have played a major role in its success. Glenn Fullerton studied his BCompt, BCompt Hons and CTA degrees part-time and simultaneously completed his articles with Deloitte. After qualifying, Glenn spent two years in a group financial management role at a Rembrandt’s JSE listed subsidiary. He then joined the corporate finance team of Malbak Limited in 1995. On completion of the Malbak unbundling, Glenn remained with the Malbak Group in the capacity of divisional financial director managing two of the largest divisions of Kohler Packaging, Malbak’s largest subsidiary.
Glenn has held various senior financial management and directorship positions in large corporations and has been instrumental in significant acquisitions, restructures, disposals, closures of operating companies and divisions as well as the complex unbundling of JSE listed Malbak in 1998.

| Pierre Spies |

Pierre Spies obtained his BComm Accounting degree, part-time, in 1990 from the University of Johannesburg (previously know as RAU), and in 1987 he joined Coopers and Lybrandt, an accounting firm in order to complete his articles.
His relationship with Tarsus Technologies began in 1992 when he joined the company as an accountant. Pierre was promoted to financial director of Tarsus Technologies in 1994 and is credited with putting in place many of the business systems and controls for Tarsus’s operations. In his seventeen years with the company, Pierre has also been involved in every aspect of its business, from feasibility studies, capital raising and due diligence exercises through to acquisitions, re-engineering and disposals of the company’s subsidiaries.
Pierre assumed the position of CEO of Tarsus Technologies in 2007 and has made a significant contribution to the group and the South African IT Industry over many years. His hands-on approach to business has afforded him the opportunity to work with all the major IT vendors and resellers.
Pierre was appointed as an executive director on the MB Technologies Group main board with effect from 1 September 2009.

| Anton Herbst |

Anton Herbst completed his tertiary education at the Technikon Witwatersrand and University of Pretoria, where he qualified with a National Higher Diploma in Extractive Metallurgy and a B.Com Degree respectively.
Starting his career at Softsource in 1992, in the Software Technical Support division, Anton was promoted to I.T. manager, followed shortly thereafter by a promotion to logistics manager in 1994.
In 1995 Anton joined S.D.D. as a Novell product manager and within a year was promoted to general manager for the Software Business Unit. Between 1998 and 2000, Anton took on the role of divisional director, Software Business Unit and then divisional director, Software and Consumables Business Units.
In 2000, Anton was appointed as a director of the Storage and Memory Perfomance Technology subsidiaries in the MBT Group.
Pursuant to MB Technologies’ initiative to enter the IT consumables market Anton was appointed as chief executive officer of Advanced .Channel .Technologies (A.C.T.)., a position that demands both strategic and lateral thinking, which is something that he revels in. Anton is passionate about identifying trends and leading by example rather than by instruction.
As CEO of A.C.T., Anton is responsible for giving the company strategic direction and ensuring that the core values, company structure, processes and I.T. systems support the execution of the strategy. He is also responsible for the vendor and key customer relationships.
Anton was appointed as an executive director on the main board of the MB Technologies Group with effect from 1 September 2009.

| Khumo Shongwe |

Khumo Shongwe has academic qualifications in Journalism from Rhodes University, B.Sc. (MED) Hons (Psych) from Medunsa and a M.Sc. (Clin Psych) from Medunsa. She has circa 12 years experience in the Mining Industry within various Human Resource related roles and has worked in a wide variety of capacities, including, transformation, HR consulting, HR Strategic Planning, BEE and related community empowerment, HR Turn around projects, communications, Shared Services applications, and roll outs of Information technology systems. She is the Senior Advisor to Royal Bafokeng Holdings, and a member of the executive team. Prior to joining RBH in February 2007, Khumo was the Vice President, Human Capital of Lonmin Plc, South African operations. Khumo was a member of the Executive as well as the Chief Executive Forum of Lonmin. She continues to consult to Lonmin Platinum on their conversion of mining license applications.
Prior to joining Lonmin Khumo was the Head of Transformation at De Beers Consolidated Mines and a member of that company’s Executive Committee. Khumo has also worked for Anglo American Platinum Corporation as the Group HR planning Consultant and has occupied senior HR roles with Transnet (Spoornet & South African Airways) and Goldfields of South Africa. She continues to deliver limited clinical psychology services in her spare time. She offers free counseling to the Sunday Times readers on Saturday mornings as part of her community work.
Khumo is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative, (ALI), a leadership development program modeled after the highly successful Henry Crown Fellowship Program of The Aspen Institute. The Africa Leadership Initiative seeks to develop the next generation of community-spirited leaders of Africa, beginning in Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa. Khumo is a passionate leadership development champion, and has interests in coaching, leadership and Human Capital development. Her other HR passions are succession planning. Khumo sits on a number of boards, including Astrapak, MB Technologies, Fraser Alexander, MTech industrials.

Niall is a chartered accountant and completed his articles with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. During his 12 years with Deutsche Bank (previously Ivor Jones Roy) he was employed as an equity analyst, head of corporate finance, and SA Exco member with joint responsibility for the South African franchise. He joined RBF as its first employee in 2004.

Lucas completed his articles at Deloitte and was previously with Barclays Bank PLC (SA) as Manager: Corporate Credit, Mettle Operations as Manager: Structured Finance.

Thabiso Mashugane is the Investment Manager at Royal Bafokeng Holdings. Before joining RBH, Thabiso spent 6 years with Citigroup South Africa. During this time, Thabiso was employed as a fixed income and bond trader before joining the fixed income and derivatives structuring sales team, with a specific focus on hedging solutions for SA corporate companies.

Pieter Rörich is responsible for evaluating Royal Bafokeng Holdings’ investments and executing transactions. Pieter’s expertise is in the fields of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. He was as executive director of African Rainbow Minerals from 2004, before joining Royal Bafoekeng Holdings in 2008.
